Bio
Aisling Clardy is a project manager with experience leading federal, European, and international grants. She currently manages the Greater Richmond Elder Justice Shelter Initiative, a federally funded elder justice innovation grant at the Elder Justice Learning & Research Hub, Virginia Center on Aging, VCU.
Her work advances social justice, equity, and older adults’ well-being through person-centered practices that address the social determinants of health.
Originally from Ireland, Aisling’s background spans direct service, resource development, community engagement, international human rights advocacy, and management of state, European, and global projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals—especially disability inclusion, health, and cross-sector collaboration. Her approach is grounded in a salutogenic (well-being–focused) model and a vision of communities where the healthy choice is the easy choice for all.
