Age in Action Winter 2020 Issue
Jan 28, 2020
The Winter 2020 issue of our quarterly, Age in Action, is now available. It begins with a featured case study that shows how much good can be accomplished for the health of at-risk older adults when a family medicine practice and an Area Agency on Aging collaborate in the community. The work is truly impressive.
There are also editorials on the Benefits of Physical Activity on Depression and on Dementia Friendly Initiatives. We report on an ingenious 25-hour Hackathon where teams of students from various universities, each mentored by a family caregiver, must compete to develop and implement an app helpful for caregivers. There's a thoughtfully inspirational piece on Five Gifts of Aging Acceptance, brief summaries on recently funded research on dementia, notices of upcoming conferences, calendar items, and more.
